Bangladesh is grappling with a severe outbreak of two mosquito-borne viruses, dengue and chikungunya, overwhelming hospitals and healthcare workers.
With over 33,000 dengue cases and 130 deaths recorded this year, the situation has become critical, particularly for children who are among the most vulnerable.
The rapid spread of these viruses is attributed to a combination of factors, including climate change, unplanned urbanisation, and poor sanitation, which have created ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Experts warn that without urgent action to destroy breeding sites and improve early detection, the outbreaks could worsen, further straining Bangladesh's already stretched healthcare system.

Al Jazeera's Tanvir Chowdhury reports from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
