Tensions in South Sudan are rising amid a deepening rift between President Salva Kiir and Vice President Riek Machar.
Residents of Nasir report dozens killed in recent airstrikes by forces allied with Kiir.
The government claims it was targeting fighters who overran the town, killing government troops.
Some civilians are afraid to speak openly; many, like one woman whose cousins are missing, fear for loved ones.
Machar is under house arrest, accused of plotting rebellion, worsening fears of conflict.
The UN is urging dialogue, warning that public confidence in the peace deal is eroding.
Regional leaders fear renewed war could destabilise an already volatile East Africa.

Al Jazeera’s Haru Mutasa reports from Juba, South Sudan.
