Super Typhoon Ragasa, the planet's strongest storm this year, has struck the northern Philippines. With winds over 200 km/h, it caused landslides, fatalities, and forced 100,000 evacuations.
While weaker than 2013's Haiyan, it inflicted significant damage to infrastructure and caused widespread flooding.
The government had pre-positioned aid, but assessments are ongoing as the region recovers from the severe disruption.
