Outgoing French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu says he'll present a plan to resolve the country's political deadlock to the president by the end of the day.
Lecornu has met members of several political parties.
He says there's a willingness among them to pass proposed budget cuts by the end of the year, and only a remote chance the parliament will be dissolved.
The far-right National Rally wants new elections or for President Emmanuel Macron to step down.
