At the same time, Israeli forces have targeted hospitals and clinics - devastating the healthcare system.
Every single hospital in Gaza has been damaged or completely destroyed by Israeli bombs, leaving injured Palestinians with limited or no access to medical care.
For them, the ceasefire means a chance to receive treatment.
