African nations are calling for justice and accountability for colonial-era crimes in the form of reparations.
Algeria suggests a legal framework to hold former occupiers accountable.
Instead, France has opted for 'symbolic acts' that promote reconciliation.
Britain has paid almost $20 million in compensation to more than 5,000 Kenyans abused by the colonial administration.
And Germany has agreed to pay Namibia $1.1 billion in development aid over 30 years.
But with the continent as a whole still paying a heavy price for colonialism, which other African countries should receive reparations?
And can the cost of colonial-era abuses be measured?
