Negotiations are due to begin in Cairo that the President of the United States says may bring about an end to the war on Gaza. Hamas has largely agreed to Donald Trump’s peace plan, but with major caveats. So has the Israeli Prime Minister. But the details have yet to be agreed, including on how Israeli forces withdraw and who will govern the strip. So is it possible to draw up a plan that all sides can agree to? What would an interim government look like? And what does all of this mean for the Palestinian people?
