Hundreds of thousands, including many students, are protesting the arrest of former Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu.
Emrullah, a 28-year-old from Istanbul, is the first in his family to attend university and seeks a better future.
He and his friends created a community space for sports, arts, and self-expression.
He believes the 2017 shift to a presidential system has stifled free speech and made criticism of authority difficult.
Despite these challenges, he refuses to leave Turkiye and wants to contribute to his country’s future.
Protesters remain determined, advocating for change through peaceful means inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Emrullah, like many others, is uncertain about the future but remains committed to fighting for his rights.
