Uganda’s electoral Commission has cleared seven presidential candidates for a high-stakes general election planned for January. Long-time leader Yoweri Museveni - who has been in power since 1986 - is aiming for a seventh term. His main challenger is pop star-turned-politician Bobi Wine officially known as Robert Kyagulanyi, is back for a rematch — vowing to end what he calls decades of misrule.
