Senate Democrats and Republicans presented competing health care bills for a vote on Thursday—and both of them failed to get enough votes to advance. The Democratic plan included an extension to health care subsidies for three years—right now, they're set to expire on January 1st. The Republican plan aimed to replace those subsidies with money for health savings accounts.
