The European Union has agreed to bring forward a ban on imports of Russian gas. The restrictions will now begin in 2027. On Thursday, EU leaders hosted Ukraine's president in Brussels, where they promised more aid to Kyiv—but they remain divided on how to allow Ukraine to use frozen Russian assets to buy weapons.
