British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has arrived in Mumbai for a two-day visit to India.
He's joined by hundreds of businesses and cultural leaders.
The UK and India signed a free trade agreement earlier in July.
The deal cuts tariffs on goods such as textiles, whisky, and cars, and allows more market access for businesses.
But ahead of the trip Starmer said he didn't plan to address the issue of expanding visa access for Indian professionals.
Brahma Chellaney is a professor of strategic studies at the Center for Policy Research in New Delhi and a former advisor to India’s National Security Council.
He explains who is really benefitting from this new trade agreement between the UK and India.
