At least two people are dead and 30 are missing, after Super Typhoon Ragasa swept through Taiwan.
The typhoon lashed the eastern county of Hualien, where the banks of a lake burst, sending a flood of water into a town.
More than 7,000 people have been evacuated across Taiwan.
The storm has left thousands of homes without power.
In Hong Kong, schools have been closed and flights cancelled as Super Typhoon Ragasa closes in.
Residents are stocking up on food and piling sandbags outside homes and shops.
In the northern Philippines, the storm triggered landslides, displacing thousands of residents.
