Despite forecasts of nearly 4% GDP growth, citizens say the benefits are not reaching them, with poverty now affecting 40% of the population.
Analysts have raised concerns over undisclosed Chinese loans and growing public debt. As elections approach, calls for change grow louder amid frustration over corruption and mismanagement.
