Millions of Sudanese are suffering from lack of food and other basic supplies, even in areas that have returned to government control. And with foreign aid unable to meet requirements, Sudanese charities and individuals have launched their own initiatives to help.
Al Jazeera’s Mohamed Vall reports from Khartoum, Sudan.
Mohamed Gamal Elamin is a Communication Officer at the World Food Programme Sudan. He says more co-operation is needed from all parties involved to ensure safe passage and delivery of food and other supplies to the affected areas.
